Event description
The Agile Coaching Retreat is three days in the mountains to step back from the daily sprint cycle and think about what we are actually trying to do. This is not a certification course. It is a space for experienced practitioners to wrestle with the hard questions: when agile is the right answer and when it is not, how to coach teams that do not want to be coached, and how to maintain your own professional identity in an industry that loves to co-opt and dilute good ideas.
Format
Each day opens with a two-hour facilitated session on a theme chosen by the cohort. The rest of the time is unscheduled: small group conversations, peer coaching pairs, solo walks in the Tatry, or collaborative work on a challenge someone brings from their organisation.
Past retreat themes have included: psychological safety as a prerequisite for retrospectives, the political economy of large-scale SAFe adoptions, coaching technical teams who consider process work a waste of time, and the difference between a healthy high-velocity team and a burnout factory that ships.
Who attends
Agile coaches, Scrum Masters, and engineering or product managers with at least two years of hands-on coaching experience. We ask everyone to bring a real, unresolved challenge - not a case study. Accommodation, meals, and transportation from Krakow are included in the ticket price.
